Tried to download Acrobat Reader and was stopped by the subject software.
How does it get installed? How does it get uninstalled? The computer is W2K
and is member of domain. Other computers on domain do not experience this
prob.

There are multiple possibilities for Mimesweeper
intervention. You provided insufficient detail of the
situation and environment in your post but this isn't a
software newsgroup so regardless of the point of it's
