CrystalSysInfo service fails to start

I keep getting an error message in the XP Event Viewer everytime I start up
that says "The CrystalSysInfo service failed to start due to the following
error: The system cannot find the file specified." Any ideas on this? I'm
running XPSP3. It appears to have no detrimental effects on my machine but
I'm just curious and thought it might be wise to find out why XP is trying to
run the file but cannot.

I Googled around for "CrystalSysInfo" and although it shows up in a lot of
posts on malware-fixit forums, I couldn't find a definitive answer as to
what program this file belongs to.

To be on the safe side, do some scanning for malware:

If the computer is clean, examine your Startup and see if you can figure out
what program starting with Windows is calling the file. One sees "Crystal
Reports" installed with many older database programs, but I don't know if
that is the same thing as your CrystalSysInfo file. Here's how to manage
your Startup:

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and
find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK
out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll
get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in
effect, "don't bother me about this again".

Important - Do not use the System Configuration Utility to stop processes.
Instead, use Start>Run>services.msc [enter] and do not stop any services
unless you really, really know what you're doing.

The free Autoruns program is very useful for managing your Startup -
