Crystal Report Sorting...

I have a vb.net 2005 project and have built a report using teh built in
Crystal that comes with it. THe source of my report is an SQL server 2000
view - which has sort criteria built into it...

The report is not coming out in that order and I see that there is a "Group
Sort Expert" available under the Crystal Reports->Report menu - however, it
is grayed out. I can also right click on one of my group headers and select
"Section Expert" and I can see where you can select fields and specify sort
order there but everything is grayed out thre as well - meaning I cannot
change the simplest of things - my sort order!!!

Any ideas why I am unable to make changes to the sort orders within the
actual report?

Go the PUSH model. You'll be much happier.

Create a strong dataset.
Push the results of your stored procedure into the (typed/strong) dataset.
Create your report against the XSD of the typed dataset.

PUSH it to CR, instead of pulling data.

***Yes, I am repeating this ***. You can do the sorting in the dataset (to
your liking) before you PUSH it.
