CRT Monitor flashing shades of blue

G

Guest

this happened a while ago, and now i realise that its getting worse..

occasionally, but now more frequently the screen flashes and its a small
tint of blue, like the entire screen remains the same, but now with a tint of
blue.. several seconds later it will revert back to white..

now the small "tint" of blue has gotten darker, and the flashes are more
frequent..

is this a virus, or is it more likely a hardware problem, this monitor is a
Hyundai and is about 3 years old

please help soon!

Well, since it's "getting" worse, that pretty much rules out a software
problems and points to hardware, either video card or monitor. Or, if
you're lucky, it's just a fan on the video card that needs cleaning or
replacement.

I would bet on the monitor going bad.

Could be a bad cable. If one of the color signals (R, G, or B)
is intermittant you can get strange colors.
