crosstabs query

I have a problem with crosstabs query in Access2000 : I need to make up a
samples-by-species matrix, where samples number exceeds 255. Therefore all I
obtain is a "too many fields" error message. Is there anything I can do?
Do newer versions accept such a field number?

You can't break the 255 field barrier. If you want to print out the results
of a crosstab that may have more than 255 fields/columns you might want to
check out the solution for crosstab reports at
