Cross reference to table text

I have an appendix that contains a four column table that will be used as a consolidated list of activities. I would like to find a relatively easy way to cross-reference individuals rows in the body of the document. Ideally I would like to extract the text from each of the cell rows and concatenate it - for example: Refer Business Plan Project <cell b1>, <cell b2> allocated to <cell b3> on <cell b4>. Page <page no>

My best guess is that cross-reference is the tool for the job because the contents of the table are quite dynamic and additional entries are being added as the document matures

Does anyone have any ideas that I could use

Thanks

Hi Craig,

You can only cross-reference to text in a table by using one of the
'numbered item', 'heading' or 'bookmark' options. Unfortunately, cell
referencing doesn't work with text (but you can use it for numerics), and if
you use bookmarks you'll have to bookmark the text within the cell but not
the cell itself. See:
http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=wrd&Number=365442
(url all one line) where there's a Word file you can download with more info
in this area.

Cheers
