Cross-platform networling

I have a Linksys wireless WRT54G router. One WXPHome is
hardwired, one is wireless. A Mac OS 9.1.1 is hardwired.
All get to the web flawlessly.

I want to be able to move files between the Mac and the
WXPs (specifically, cross-platform FileMaker Pro
databases). Just transfer/copy/move them: I do not need
to open them from networked machines.

Can I do this without additional software to make the
boxes talk to each other?

If not, what software might be recommended?

Not sure if this is easy/possible without having OSX on the Mac.

Use ftp. It's built in to both.
