Cross o/s printing

I'm running Win2000 pro on the desktop with an LTP1-HP
printer and Linksys wired/wireless network and 2 laptops
running Win98. I can see the shared printer from the
laptops but cannot get the port to connect. There is a
button in Win2000 to add drivers for Win98 but the files
requested do not exist on the CD's as directed. Any
suggestions, other than installing Win2000 on the laptops?
 
Download the Win9x drivers from the printer manufacturer's website - add
them when trying to add drivers in W2k.
