Cross-linked allocation unit

Have an older Dell L800cxe running WinXP SP2. Upgraded memory from 128MB to
384MB and was working well. Tried to upgrade to 512MB with two 256 PC133
sticks (one was part of the 384MB combo) . . . and now get this message at
Startup: "dump 0cd2.temp cross-linked allocation unit 163955". CHKDSK
won't complete, stopping with this same message.

Any advice, help, etc. would be much appreciated.

Delete this file, then try running chkdsk again. Does the problem
happen with the old memory too?
