I get strange noises from my speakers when no programmes are running, as
well as when watching video/listening to music. It sounds like a frog/
electronic raspberry blowing. It lasts about 1 second and occurs about every
15 sacs.

Any idea what it could be/how to get rid of it?

Do a search for all .wav files and listen to each one. When the sound
is located, see what folder it's in, and hopefully, what program uses it.

The "croak" is fairly new, right? So list them by creation date.

I don't know how new since I used this PC for years in the UK with no
speakers attached and only noticed it after I moved the PC the France 6
months ago and added speakers. As I'm typing I am realising that I have the
speakers on and the sodding thing has croaked it's last gasp, and I have
absolutely no idea why? Yippee!!
