critical update will not remain installed: Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)

Hello Everyone,

I download the critical update and it appears to install without error, but
it is always flagged as being required to install.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to correctly resolve this issue?

Most likely because you have an too old version of MDAC installed.

I suggest you upgrade to MDAC 2.8 and see if it solves the problem, you can

Now 2.8
