Critical Update KB828026 Installation on Windows XP

I have downloaded and installed the "Critical Update for
Window Media Player Script Commands (KB828026)", five
times over the past week (2/11/04, 2/13/04, 2/14/04 three
time) and it still shows up on the list of critical
updates needing to be downloaded and installed on my
computer, each time I check the Microsoft website for
program updates. I should also add that each time after
the install of this "critical update", the installation
if marked as "successful". Can you tell me why? Please
respond by email. All other updates that I have
downloaded and installed have done fine and not showed up
on the list again. Thank you for all of your assistance.

Find c:\windows\catroot2 Delete the catroot2 folder reboot and try again

Look in Windows Update.log and iuhist.xml (both are files on your HDD) for
errors relating to the install of 828026. Compare them to errors listed at
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
