Critical marketing vulnerability on the Vista edition comparison website

J

James Daily

Found a bug in Windows Vista - well, the website anyway.

On the Windows Vista edition comparison table (
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/choose.mspx
), for the feature "Create high definition movies with Windows Movie
Maker in High Definition" it has check marks in the Vista Business and
Vista Ultimate columns. However, WMMHD is only available in the Home
Premium and Ultimate editions - not the Business edition.

-Jim

P.S. I'd love if there were some way I could get a complimentary copy
of Vista as gratitude for my reporting of this critical marketing
vulnerability... ;)

The 'networking center' is also in Home Premium for my complimentary copy
;-)

Don't know if you'd get a free version, but that's a good catch.

James-

I could show you tons of them on any given day. Does this explanation of
the Family Deal for Vista tell you that for $49 you're entitled to an
upgrade but not full versions of VHP? Hell no. Of course not. Is that
significant? I'd say so.

Seen the vague and incomplete Vista upgrade MSKB yet? It's pathetic.

If I had a free Vista DVD for every mistake I've found on a MSFT website or
in an MSKB not to mention the scores of vaguely written or erratic MSKBs in
the last five years, I could replace all the pages of the bible on my wall
with the recommendations that I can't understand the Right Wing
Conservative Born Again Evangelicals who are so uber cerebral not getting
Congress to pass for the last 16 years while they controlled Congress with
them.

I could also replace all the pages of the moronic Wall Street Journal that
has stunningly REFUSED TO print anything but an angry rambling editorial
about the Libby trial. This is significant, because the White House
contrary to Tony Snow's assertion is scared shitless about what will happen
when Bartlett, Rove, and Cheney are cross examined on their lies about the
Iraq war in order to get so many other people's children killed.

Track the Scooter Libby Bus to Prison and follow the countdown: Will Rove,
Bartlett, and Cheney purger themselves and ride with him?

Race you for a window seat

Libby wants a front row seat and he's gonna get it

"Hey my name is Scooter. I went to Harvard Law School. A major witness
formerly from Dick Cheney's office named Kathie is my fellow alumnus and she
testified against me. Now she works for Bushie. I'll be the new boss hog
in the prison yard and write appellate briefs for 'yall for postage stamps
at the comissary."
