My desktop computer (Intel motherboard, P4 2.8 GHz) has started
unpredictably (once every 1-36 h in no apparent pattern) going on standby.
If I hit the power button twice, it comes back on w/ a
message box: "Change battery or go on AC power", then turns off.

I haven't added any new software, the problem comes on w/ most drivers and
resident software disabled, and the power options are set to NEVER for all
possibilities.

Is there some way I can edit the registry to prevent this?

HELP!
