Creating template with logo and names

I am having the worse time. First of all, is creating a template as simple as just saving it as a template
Secondly, i'm trying to create a template of our company letterhead, which includes our logo at the top, address at the bottom and names on the left hand side of the document. The logo and address are not a problem because I inserted them as headers and footers. My problem is with those names on the side!!!! We want to use this template to send e-mails but when you go to use it, one may inadvertantly place the cursor where the names are (on the left hand side) and bam -- there goes the logo. Ideally I think if I place those names as a watermark then they would be protected but HOW? HOW? HOW? When I've tried using watermarks -- its all over the page -- I DON'T WANT THAT! Must I save the names in a special format? WHAT? Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?!?!?!? Whatever you could do to help is appreciated -- truly!

I suspect you're talking about Word templates, which means you should try
asking your question in one of the newsgroups related to Word (they start
microsoft.public.word)

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
