creating tables

I created a 6 row,2 column table and when I started typing the center line
that divids the cells moves to the right all the way across. How do I keep
the divider from moving?

This is an Access (database) newsgroup. It sounds as if you are asking a
question for Word. If so, it would be best to post your question there. If
not, please explain more about what you mean. For instance, the number of
rows depends on the number of records. You can't really create a blank
table.
