Creating rules

I am using outlook 2003 and I right clicked on an email to set up a rule to
block any further emails from this sender and I somehow it appears that I
permanently deleted all of my emails in my inbox and all incomeng emails are
permanently deleted. How do I find out what I did, can I retrieve any of my
emails and how do I change this

did you create a rule or use the junk email feature to block mail from the
sender? if junk email, did you accidently set it to block mail to your
address?

if a rule, go to tools, rules and alerts and delete the rule or disable it.
if junk mail setting, go to tools, options, junk mail and change the option
to delete junk to move it to the junk email folder. This will at least keep
your mail from being deleted, if that is what is happening. Then review the
blocked list and delete most addresses on it - blocking senders is generally
ineffective at blocking most spam.
