creating forms in Word

I want to create a form that can be filled using word. I also want to be
able to e-mail the form to customers have them fill the form and sent back to
me. Is template form in Word the best way to accomplish this task? We'll I
started the form and I have a problem with the text field feature. Is there
a way to constrain the characters to the length of the text box. Right now
everytime I fill out the text field box it rearanges the rest of the form.
Please Help?
