creating/editing text overlays...?

i am interested in adding a large amount of text
(prose/poetry) to a video i have created and edited.
using movie maker, i can add text in smallish quantities,
but am feeling frustrated by the lack of control over the
visual side of it. for example, i like the
way 'typewriter' looks, but i do not want it at the top
of the screen, i would want it at the bottom. plus, the
speed it chooses to go at is also frustratingly slow.

is there any way around this? or will i need to start
using some sort of more complex software to achieve these
effects, such as premiere etc?

The speed is easy to change.... it correlates with the duration of the text
clip.... change the duration on the timeline to speed it up.

The positioning is limited by the software options.

Hello there,

Amount of text, speed of delivery and position in all 3 axis measured
against the progress of time will not be a problem in MovieXone (available
as a free download from my site) You can add the text and produce an AVI
file of just that part of the video and import that back into Movie Maker
or carry on with MovieXone.
