Creating backup of website on network computer

I am trying to get my local website files to a new computer via the network.
I can access the HD and the transfer appears to happen, but the folders that
appear in the new HD are empty. I followed the instructions given in the help
menu. When i tried to save to A:\ only "private & images" copied to A:.
Please advise how I can get this website to the new computer. Thanks
 
publish the site from the server straight to your new computer.

File > PUblish Web
