Creating and Using custom form in outlook public folders

I recently created a custom task form and linked it to a
public folder. When I try to create a new task item, the
form does appear, however, I get an error message that
says "The property does not exist. The field you want to
modify is not valid for this type of item".

If click "ok", it will allow me to enter data into the
custom fields, however, it will not save the task or
close.

Can anyone help me learn how to create a custom task for
with custom fields?

Did you add fields to your task form from some other type of Outlook item,
e.g. from the All Contact Fields list?

Yes, I actually created a couple of "custom" fields.

But did you also add any non-task, non-custom fields?
