Creating an out-of-office message when you don't have Office Assis

I'm using Outlook 2003 and I'm stumped on how to do this. The only thing I
can figure is that you create a rule. But the only template it brings up -
but does not allow me to modify - is mail.oft. Am I on the right track here?
Is there some way to create a template that the rule will recognize? Lastly,
will it only send the out-of-office message once? If none of this is
possible, I suppose I can use 4team software but I'd rather not pay 29 bucks
if it's built into Outlook and it's just user dumbness. Thanks.

You can create auto-reply rules -- see
http://www.slipstick.com/rules/autoreply.htm for help. Yes, the message will
only be sent once per recipient, but that is for a good reason -- it's
designed to prevent endless mail loops if there are auto-reply rules on both
servers (the auto-replies would rapidly keep bouncing back and forth until
the servers crashed).

This is great. I just couldn't figure out how to get an OFT file created.
Save As. Duh. Yeah, I knew I wanted just one respone so that's good. Tried
it. Worked like a charm. Thanks again.
