Depends on what you mean by advanced, but in general - No.
A search with more features will require custom server-side scripting,
or a third party site to search for you.
Customising the FP search requires CSS - but this only affects
appearance, not the results.

If you google for "Search engines" there are companies that will allow you
to put thier search program on your site.
Usually free with advertising or chargeable without.
