Hi.

I have an idea for a web-based marketplace - where sellers and buyers
of certain goods can meet.
Are there any ready made templates available for Frontpage (2003)
somewhere that I can use (I'm not very advanced in terms of web
design/programming)?

Basically, what I need/want is a site where sellers can enter their
items (sort of like a guestbook) and contact info, and potential
buyers can scroll through the ads and click on anything interesting to
contact the seller.
Nothing fancy, not necessarily any username/password system,
preferably (if the number of ads grow) some sort of sorting and search
system. But of course if I can add extras that's ok.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Might even be that
Frontpage is not the tool to use, in that case "I'm sorry for the
interruption"!

Thanks,
Christopher

Do a search in the IE address bar as:

? Classified Ad Applications

WEBMASTER Resources(tm)

FrontPage Resources, WebCircle, MS KB Quick Links, etc.

If doing this in fp or any html app is too complicated, you may want to consider a forum type of site.

just my 3 cents :)

I found a very nice free classified ad system. it's in .asp/access so it's
fine for use in FrontPage (long as you're on a windows server):
http://www.4u2ges.com/default.asp
there are several versions so take a close look. it's very complete with
image uploading and all kinds of stuff. I've played with it a little so if
you get into a jam just use my contact link below.
