Creating a Task Request for Outlook

Hi,
I'm working on a new Access project and would like to create Outlook task
requests for people in the office and have Access deliver the requests so
that the tasks end up in the responsible persons Outlook to be acted upon.
Other possibilities include an appointment request or just a plain E-mail.
I have the dates and the individuals already in the Access database, I just
need to figure out how to have Access send the request to Outlook. Does
anyone have any place for me to learn more about the Access / Outlook
connection - either web sites or books?

We are using the 2003 version of Access and Outlook and are networked so we
have Exchange Server.
