creating a sports schedule

Hi all,

Is there a formula that will figure what team will play
another team; the teams are assigned a letter - their
name. within a cell. If someone can help me out that
would be great.

how many teams

what are the parameters - each team home and way, play for # teams x 2
number of weeks, play once a week or multiple times a weeks and so forth.

There are 7 teams so one team every week has a by - no
play. so there is a dummy team set up. All the teams
play on Tuesday for 14 weeks. Each team will play each
other twice, once at home and once away, and I would like
to set it up that we alternate, one week home and away
the next.
