Creating a secondary address book.

Have a couple of queries based on the 2007 MCAS/MCAP objectives

1. Creating a secondary address book.

When i try creating a second address book using the "additional address
book" option- it says it cannot be done as there is already an existing
address book. So how do i create a secondary address book?

2. How do I import contacts stored in an Excel file into a secondary address
book

Can someone guide me in performing this task?
 
Hi Adrian,

the "Outlook Addressbook" is only afilter (special kinf of "vie") of the
existing contact folders.

If you want to get an additional Addressbook, you can create an additional
contact folder (file/new folder).

You could name this "Contact-2" and then click on this contact folder, right
mouseclick/properties/Outlook Addressbook/ activate the flag on "Show this
folder as Outlook Addressbook".

Close all windows.

If you click on the "to" files in a new email you can selectnow, in the
list box, the additional Addressbook. If you create a new contact in this
folder, this contact will be listed in this new Outlook Addressbook if this
contact has an E-Mail-Adress or a fax number.

Without an E-Mail-Adress or a fax number the contact does not appear.
