Hi.

In the table below there are 2 Unique Product Groups
(AM, J0). Product Group AM has 3 Unique Product Types
(A,XAE,YA). Product Group J0 has 3 Unique Product Types
(JNJ,ZJN,WJN).

Product Group Product Type
AM A
AM A
AM XAE
AM XAE
AM YA
AM YA
AM YA
AM YA
J0 JNJ
J0 JNJ
J0 JNJ
J0 JNJ
J0 ZJN
J0 ZJN
J0 ZJN
J0 WJN

I am trying to create a reference list that shows me
the Product Types for Each Product Group. For example...

Product Group Product Types
AM A XAE YA
J0 JNJ ZJN WJN

I am familiar w/ VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP but can't figure out
a way to create the quick reference list. Thank you in
advance for your guidance

To summarize the product groups and types, you could use a PivotTable:

Select a cell in the list
Choose Data>PivotTable and PivotChart report
Click Next, select the cells with data, click Next
Click Layout
Drag the Product Group button to the Row area
Drag the Product Type button to the Row area, below Product Group
Drag another copy of the Product Type button to the Data area
Click OK, choose a location for the Pivot Table, click Finish

You can hide the column that shows the count of Product Type, or leave
it visible.
