Creating a movie

When I try to create a movie after editing and stuff. The
creat feture hangs.
I name it select the format then the progress bar gets to
about 67% with 2 minutes left, and nothing happens after
that the time left keeps going up. Its like the program
isn't responding.

WIN XP PRO
8500 DV
512 RAM
1900+ CPU
