created new account-- can run programs

After creating an account for my son, programs that are on the computer will
not run,, even Microsoft program.

What programs? Do any programs run? Do the programs just not run in his
account or any account? Is your son a Limited user? Please provide more
details for help.

I seem only to be able to connect to Microsoft sites when on the internet and
many other programs don't respond. These program run fine on my account. My
son's is a limited account. I have given him admin privs, disabled parental
control, and nothing seems to work. I get no error messages.

Since you continue to refuse to say what programs don't work, I can only
suggest you contact the tech support for those programs for help in
making the programs work with a limited user. Many older programs won't
run in an account without administrative privileges because they need
to write to an area of the hard drive that is off limits to a
non-administrator account. You can explore the "runas" option. Look in
XP's Help & Support for "runas" for details. Are you sure the computer
is 100% spyware and virus-free? What have you done to be sure? Check
your hosts file.
