Create partition in XP?

Rosie

Having just restored an Acronis image back onto my hard disk, I then
wanted to create another partition, but when I used the XPHome CD it
assumed I wanted to instal another copy of XP onto that partition after
it did a format. The only way out was to open the CD drive.
What is the correct way to create another partition in XPHome?

start/run, type diskmgmt.msc. Rightclick a drive icon that has unpartitioned space available.

Do you mean Create a partition from the XP installer? or from a running
copy of XP? I can't quite tell.

Either would have done, as I couldn't remember how to do it I used the
installer. A mistake I guess!

Thanks Mark, I can't believe it was that easy and that I didn't know!
I've just found another 21gb unallocated having used the above. Great!
