Create letter using access database

Is there a way to create a word doc using the access database or do I need to
do that in Access? If so, what is the best way to do this? Any help is
greatly appreciated.

You can certainly create a letter within Access, or you can use Access to
supply variable data for printing form letters in Word.

The above has a both a system to create templates, and then merge from
ms-access. The whole process can be managed from ms-access if you copy my
example into your existing application.
