Create email template (OFT file) from webpage

We have created several HTML pages, which would be the basis for our email
templates. In earlier versions of Outlook, we could use the feature send page
by email and than save it as a oft file. If I do the same with Outlook 2003,
it does not include anything (Word is switched off as editor).

So in short, this is the process we followed in the past and which worked,
which is not the case with the new version of Outlook:
-> create HTML pages and host them on a webserver (+ host images on public
server, so everybody can access it)

-> access the pages via a http command in IE
-> click on: file -> send -> page by email
-> the page opens in an email and we could save this as an email template
(all images viewable)

How can we make this work again with Outlook 2003 ?

That process works fine here on Outlook 2003 SP2. Where does it fail when you try it?

We run the same version...so that's already a good sign. We have the same
problem on a newly installed PC as well in France (english version).

Where it fails? when I save it as an oft file and re-open that oft file, the
template is white, without any content. So it didn't save anything...

help.... ;-)

Do you see any different behavior if you open the .oft file with the Tools | Forms | Choose Form command?

Indeed, this works, but causes quite a problem, as the users that use this
possibility to send out emails, wouldn't run through all the possible
folders. We post those messages in " public folders" in Outlook, where people
just have to click on them and they can send it... isn't there an easier " go
to file and double click" way ?

Already a big thank you!!!!!
