Create bootable CD

Is there a way to make a CD bootable? I need to recreate a CD for a software
application. I have all of the installation folders and I copied them to the
CD but I don't know how to make the computer boot to this CD. Are there files
I need to add to the CD?

Thank you for your reply. I did take a look at this but it didn't help me
with what I needed. Probably because I've never done this before and I need
something a little more for beginners.

Which specific CD-burning application are you using? Have you tried
following its instructions?

Take a look at winimage , with it you can make an image of a bootable
diskette then create a bootable CD and include your other stuff with
your favourite burning program.

Thank you for that suggestion. I am using Record Now! Plus which did have
instructions.
