create boot.ini from recovery console

is there a way to create a boot.ini file from within the
w2k recovery console. i cant copy from a disk or cd. both
floppy drive and cd failed on me. help. apparently copy
con filename wont work either.

Choosing "Inspect Startup Environment" during a Manual Repair will recreate
boot.ini, see this MS Knowledge Base article:
