Create Booot

Hello:

When I first purchased my LapTop it came with 3 restore CDs. Now the Lap Top
is no longer working and won't even boot.
What (opensource) software can I use to extract the winXP Operating System
from these 3 restore CDs & create a single boot CD ?

Thanks

There is no one method as every mfg's recover system is different. If your
plan is to use the OS on another PC, that is a violation of the EULA.

That is what the restore CDs are for.
Boot them up, restore, and make your laptop bootable again.

How could you fit 3 CD's onto one ?
If you mean one DVD, it would probably do you no good on another
laptop.
It won't make it to a XP bootable CD.
You might still end up with a bootable restore CD, which might work
only for the purpose to restore your original laptop to the state when
you bought your laptop on day 1.

Well, I meant DVD instead of CD.

3 restore CD's. Here is my guess:
- first bootable CD -- detect if the hardware match your original
laptop.
If so, lunch the restore program, else quit.
- second & third CD's -- contain the backup images of your laptop
on day 1.

Examine the contents of your 3 restore CD's.
What are in there?

Doesn't the fine manual which the manufacturer furnished have the
instructions on how to use these CDs?

Don't you have backup software which can create a bootable CD to restore the
backups that you surely made?

A really useless exercise. You are not able to do it. (Because it is an OEM directly
tied to your dead Lap Top) Purchase a new license along with the accompanying CD\DVD
