When I try to open an email attachment I get: "This file does not have a
program associated with it. Create an association in the folder options in
control panel." Huh? I did get rid of many trojans... but how do I get this
out, or what is this message telling me to do? And after i do it, will I be
able to get that original attachment sent to me open? PLEASE HELP!!! I did
try and remove trojan dloader... belive it to be gone, but how can I be sure
as I believe this is the cause of my problem...

Hi,

Download and install IrfanView. Select the image types you would like
to view with IrfanView during setup. Or after installed, go to
Options - Properties - Extensions tab and select the image types
there.
It's a great little FREE image viewer and much more.

Thank you for your reply. It is a jpg pic from
Slovakia... when I try to open it, it wont open and gives
me that message. It says "unknown file type" To be
specific, when I click on the attachment, and onto the
jpg attachment, a box opens up entitled "Mail Attachment"
asking me if I want to open up this file. the name
is a.1jpg and the type says: Unknown file type - When
I click to open it, it gives me that annoying message...
even after I've emptied my comp, I believe of evry virus,
using AVG, Housecall, Panda, ect, ect... yet, it still
won't let me open it. I also have this problem which I
must restart my computer every morning in order to get my
email and use microsft word. So, a virus could still be
there... don't know. I ran AVG twice today and found
Virus' Hopefully all gone. THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING...
IF YOU COULD HELP... THAT WOULD BE WONDERFUL! Do you
think I can still try and get that pic jpg... or is it
corrupt?

MANY THANKS!!!
