Create a "help" button to instruct how to use the application

I wrote an application many years back that had a "help" button attached that
would display instructions on how to use the application, and now I am trying
to remember how I did it.
By clicking on this "help" button, it displayed detailed instructions on how
use the program. I remember I wrote the documents in WORD but I cannot
remember how I attached it to my access program.
Any tutorial area that I can go to or explanations on how I accomplished this?

A little more information for this question: in creating this attachment, it
created two files; one called
SPCHelp.chm and one called
SPCHelp.hhp
