Create a custom dictionary make up words and have definitions

I am writing a comedy and using words I make up as I go. I want to create a
custom dictionary and have Word check the spelling as I write. I also would
like to have a set of definitions associated with the words in the new
dictionary.

Is this possible?

To have the spelling recognized, just type the word and, when the spelling
checker shows the wavy red underline, right-click it and select Add To
Dictionary. That will put the word into your custom dictionary file
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/EditCustomDic.htm).

However, this is for spelling only. Word doesn't do definitions except
through the Research pane, which uses a web-based dictionary service that
you can't add to. You're going to have to keep a separate document with the
definitions.
