Hi,
2 days ago I ran defrag on my notebook HD but it hung up around 85% thus
crashing my system. Now I am unable to perform detail format but using quick
format is ok. Upon successfully reinstalled XP home edition and office, I
encountered continuous cyclic redunancy errors (CRC) whenever I tried copying
my backup files into the HD. Everytime I reboot the system, it prompts HD
inconsistencies and runs check disk flagging recovered files, etc, etc.
How can I correct this problem? How can I perform a "long/detail" format on
my HD in order to flag bad sectors on my HD?
Highly appreciate urgent assistance.
Many thanks & best regards.
