crashes

I have been working on a website that I have downloaded. I am trying to make templates of some of the pages. The index page is a frame. Somewhere while opening and working with the files, the system suddenly crashes. It closes down my open websand when I reopen the files, several pages are missing the body of text. Only the header and footer remain. Even what I have saved is gone. I think it has to do with frames but I am not sure. I am a novice but have lots of PC experience and I am lost as to how to prevent this. Your help would be appreciated.

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office

I have tried all the fixes you recommended and it still crashes

Further info that might help
OS is XP Home with Office XP.
Front Page is 2002 version

I can work in FP for awhile than something causes it to hang. I do Control-Alt-Delete to close the program. When I reopen it and try to open Index which is a frame or I open the page that is in the frame, it crashes and closes the program. I have to download the site again. After downloading works for a while than the same thing happens

I hope you have some more ideas for me
