crashes and reboots during norton scan

when i run norton antivirus 2003, xp often locks up or
reboots when it gets to windows/driver
cache/i386/driver.cab. Any advice how to further diagnose
and correct?

Same answer as when you asked before: try scanning in Safe Mode. Did you
do this? What were the results?
