Follow-up microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

Win XP HE SP1
Adobe 7.0.5

I keep getting crashes (Explorer [NOT IE but just Explorer]) and the
error message states that it comes form acroiehelper.dll.
I cannot figure out what could be causing that crash and how to get rid
of it.
Any comments?

acroiehelper.dll is an Adobe Acrobat Internet Explorer application for
displaying .pdf files.

Uninstall Adobe and get Foxit Reader.

Wes,
Tx for the reply but I can't uninstall Adobe.
I NEED Adobe Reader to view PDF files.
The acroiehelper.dll is an Active-X installed by Adobe Reader.
I just don't see why I should go to a competing product.
I have encountered a bug and want to resolve it, no can Adobe Reader
altogether....

No, you do need Adobe Reader to view PDF files.

Foxit Reader is free, is for viewing pdf files and does not suck like Adobe
Reader does.

I uninstalled Adobe reader 09 July, 2005 and have been using Foxit Reader
ever since.

You do what you want. Keep Adobe Reader and have your machine crash.
