crash to POST

I just put together a PC package from TigerDirect (AMD64 Athlon, PCIE mb, 1GB
RAM, 120GB HDD, nVidia 7300GS 256 RAM, XP Home). After a random length of
time, it crashes to POST, often during a graphics-intensive appl (e.g, FS9).
450W power seems adequate, CPU temp 42C, RAM seems OK. good airflow 80mm
front/120mm rear plus CPU fan.

1. suggestions?
2. tried booting the new Seagate HDD in my old system but locks up on 1st
Window screen. (do I have to clear CMOS to succeed?)
3. auto restart OK suggests CPU OK, I think.

Help!

Thanks,
Barry, San Diego

My Computer - properties - Advanced - startup settings
Turn off auto restart.

Start | Run <type in> drwtsn32 <enter>
Your problem should be listed in the apps errors
