crash opening mdb

My MSACCESS 2002 on a WinXP pro crashes every time I try
to open any .mdb with my account on a Win2K domain.
The .mdb can be opened by other users on the same PC.
If I open .adp files connected to a SQL server, everything
goes fine.
We have a policy of keeping the APPDATA on a network
folder instead of C:\documents and settings in order to
avoid the copying of it on the network roaming profile at
every login (a very long number of files). I think that
this may be a related topic for explaining the crash.

Try dropping (disconnecting) your drive mapping to the share on the server
and recreating it manually.

I disconnected the share and reconnected it using "net
use F: \\alfa\m.crudele". Access still crashes.
When I deleted my roaming profile (all the .pol and
settings and related stuff on C: and on F:) I succeeded in
having MSAccess work, but later it stopped as soon as the
variable APPDATA was moved from c:\documents and
settings\m.crudele to \\alfa\m.crudele\APPDATA
