Crap Quality

Hi There,
I am capturing video from my sony hc40e camcorder via USB. I have tried
capturing in many formats and all are pretty poor. They are ok in a small
window. When I burn movies to a DVD they are absolutely crap. Is this just
because USB cant to this well enough? How do you get a normal DVD quality
output? Am I going to have to invest in Better hardware?

The investment required is no more than £15/$25... may be even less. Buy the
cheapest firewire card and cable you can find. It would allow you to capture
in DV AVI. You will be laughing with the results.

ok thanks, thats not a major investment. So is it true then that USB just
will not capture from device good enough?

Short answer is Yes it is true. If you are using USB 1.0 or 1.1 then it is
pretty obvious that it is true. If using USB 2.0, it is still true but may
