CQ Phone seems hopeless

My friend and I downloaded CQ Phone but find that neither of us can
call(alert) the other. We have read up on the FAQ about this problem but
still cannot resolve it. I know Yahoo Messenger works fine but I cannot
stand the various sex messages that comes down once word gets out that you
have Yahoo messenger. If Yahoo can do it why can't CQ? So can anyone
recommend something like the privacy of CQ phone but with the ease of Yahoo
messenger to set up? Also must have the ability to send files.

"CQPhone runs a tiny server listening for incoming TCP calls on port
24960. If your firewall, router or ISP is blocking incoming
connections, you CQPhone will not ring,"

If you're using any firewalling (or a router or routing modem), have
you opened TCP port 24960?

Done that, hmmm? More than 1 NAT? Like a routing modem and a router?
It won't work with that kind of setup.

If not, ignore me. :)
