i am considering upgrading my cpu which currently hasnt got HT, would i have
to change the fan as the speed is different from one i currently got, and
also, would i need to re-install windows and linux??
 
you may have to upgrade your board that is hyper-t compatible unless yours
is and you will
have to reinstall xp don't know about linux
 
And they do get hot. Get afternarket heatsink if ya can.

the mobo is compatible with ht
