I sometimes notice my PC running very slow for no apparent reason. I only
bought it in Nov last year (new) so, fairly up to date.

With just Outlook, Excel and BT Yahoo Browser open, it can be painfully slow
even opening an e-mail with no attachments (I am on Broadband).

When I look at Task Manager / Processes, something called 'ybrowser.exe'
seems to be taking-up a lot of Mem Usage and CPU.

Any ideas?

Terry,

'ybrowser.exe' is the Yahoo Browser you're using. You don't have to use
it if it uses too much CPU and memory. Just launch Internet Explorer, or any
other browser you like (Firefox, Opera, Mozilla, to name a few).

The ybrowser file is connected to your Yahoo browser. Make sure your
computer is virus/malware free:

After you know the computer is clean, if you are still experiencing
slowness, see:
