Hi,

I'm looking for a utility for Windows XP that can run in the
background and monitor CPU usage, and which can produce a graph of
this activity over time. I know the built in Windows Task Manager has
a graph under the Performance tab, but this only shows about 10 or 15
seconds of usage, before it scrolls the beginning off the screen. I
want to monitor the CPU for a longer time frame and be able to graph
it at the end of the period.

If you are using Windows XP try using the features found in Computer
Management, Performance Monitor, one of the Administrative Tools. Go to
Performance Logs and you
can establish various logs recording whatever parameters you establish for
the period of time you establish. You can access the program by entering
"perfmon.msc" at the command prompt.
